The U.S. Muddy River Battalion is actively seeking drummers, buglers, and fifers to join the ranks of our field band in support of our infantry. At most Reenactments, even the large national events, almost anyone can serve in the field if they are a functioning musician. For those who already have the basic musical skills, we can offer assistance in learning appropriate Civil War field music as well as providing period loaner instruments & uniforms to get you started. Please know that this is a functional unit with a job to do within the battalion and we do only allow functional musicians or serious students in our ranks.
